Oh, I just wanted to draw Claire and Steve(-zilla) having a romantic reunion...with chains.

I was originally going to have him chained from head to toe but...the chains...oh gawd, the chains! MAKE IT STOP! ...so just imagine that his ankles are shackled. You can also tell where I went ink crazy. Oh well. Some day I will color this. Or make someone else color it for me.

The original Code: Veronica made it definitive that Steve was gone. Fine. Then there was the ending in Code: Veronica X. And then nothing. Really? James Marcus returned via leeches--with the added bonus of being a bishie! It's like they added the Veronica X scene just so Steve (or his body) would get a passing mention in Operation Javier.


People in the U.S. fandom may think Capcom wouldn’t bring back an unpopular character, but that’s where they're wrong--when the game came out Steve was popular in Japan, like Rebecca in Zero. We Japanese have a love affair with our young and emotionally vulnerable characters. It adds depth and some room for character development, don’t you know?



Granted, our obsession for compromised characters can go terribly wrong...*ahem* hentai *ahem* pedobear *ahemhackcough*
